Anatomical Configuration
The poll is one of the most sensitive areas on a horse's head, containing major nerve pathways (including the occipital nerves) and the attachment points of the neck muscles. Traditional flat headpieces concentrate pressure directly onto the atlanto-occipital joint. The EcoSoft Luxe Headpiece is anatomically curved and deeply cut back around the ears, clearing sensitive auricular cartilege and spreading weight over a broader, padded surface to prevent head-tossing and poll tension.
