The Sustainability Protocol

Caring for Your Gear,
Protecting Our Planet

EcoRider tack is crafted from premium, eco-conscious leather. Because our leather is processed using natural, vegetable-tanned methods rather than harsh chemical chrome tanning, it retains its natural, breathable properties. Just like nature, premium leather needs the right nourishment to stay soft, strong, and beautiful for years to come. Proper care doesn’t just preserve your tack's performance—it’s the ultimate act of sustainability.

Day-To-Day Maintenance

The Golden Rules of Eco-Leather Care

To ensure your EcoRider tack lasts a lifetime, follow these three simple steps:

01

Wipe Down After Every Ride

Use a damp (not wet) cloth to remove sweat, grease, and arena dust. Sweat and dirt can break down the natural fibers of the leather if left to sit.

02

Let It Dry Naturally

If you get caught in a downpour, never dry your leather near a direct heat source like a radiator or heater. This causes the leather to dry out, crack, and stiffen. Hang it in a well-ventilated space and let it dry naturally.

03

Condition with Care

Chemical-heavy oils can over-saturate and weaken eco-leather. Instead, use a natural, wax-based balsam to feed the leather from the inside out.

Things to Avoid

Our vegetable-tanned EcoLeather is a live, organic structure. Applying harsh synthetic elements can damage its breathability and degrade its fiber strength.

Chemical Detergents Never use harsh household detergents or dynamic chemical cleaners, as they will strip the natural finish and alter the color of eco-leather.
Heavy Soaking Avoid heavy dunking or soaking in water.
Synthetic Oils Skip the synthetic oils that can rot stitching over time. Stick to natural fats and waxes.
